Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Transparent disclosure of how UCDreams Tools utilizes browser cookies, localStorage, and client-side storage to deliver fast, private web utilities with zero personal tracking.
Last Updated: November 2026 • Applies to all ucdreams.com/tools utilities
1. Our Privacy-First Architecture
At UCDreams Tools, privacy is not an afterthought or compliance formality — it is an architectural foundation. Unlike conventional cloud platforms that upload your files, photos, audio, videos, and documents to remote processing farms, our suite runs 100% client-side in your web browser using WebAssembly (Wasm), Web Audio, Canvas, and WebGPU.
Because your data remains strictly on your device, we do not collect, track, profile, monetize, or sell your personal information or file content. We only use minimal, privacy-preserving browser cookies and local storage (HTML5 localStorage) necessary to deliver a smooth and functional user experience.
2. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are compact text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They are typically used to maintain session state, secure forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and recall whether you have already dismissed a notification.
Local Storage (localStorage & IndexedDB) allows web applications to store data directly inside your browser on your physical computer or phone without transmitting it to external web servers. This is how our tools preserve your work offline (such as resume drafts, guitar tuner custom pitch calibrations, or audio noise reduction models) without requiring an account or server login.
3. Categories of Cookies and Storage We Use
We categorize all browser storage items into two explicit classifications:
Required for core functionality, security, and interface personalization. These remember your Dark/Light theme mode, your cookie consent status, and protect against security vulnerabilities. These cannot be switched off without breaking basic site navigation.
Enables in-browser tools to save your active work so you don’t lose progress if you refresh the page. Examples include custom guitar tuner strings, metronome tempo presets, and editor undo/redo history. All data is kept strictly inside your device.
4. Complete Inventory of Cookies & Local Storage
| Item Name / Key | Storage Mechanism | Primary Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ucd_cookie_consent | Cookie & LocalStorage | Remembers your choice to accept or decline the cookie notice so it does not interrupt your screen again. | 1 Year | Essential |
| ucd_theme | LocalStorage | Stores your preference for Dark Mode or Light Mode to prevent theme flickering on page load. | Persistent | Essential |
| ucd_gt_custom_strings | LocalStorage | Saves user-defined custom notes and octave tunings in the Online Guitar Tuner tool. | Persistent | Functional |
| ucd_whats_new_seen | LocalStorage | Records that you have viewed recent feature announcements so modals don’t re-appear repeatedly. | 90 Days | Functional |
| ucd_resume_draft | LocalStorage / IndexedDB | Safely keeps your in-progress resume or document text so an accidental tab close does not destroy your writing. | Session / Persistent | Functional |
5. Third-Party CDNs & Static Assets
To execute advanced features like WebAssembly background removal, audio noise reduction, and video compilation, our application downloads open-source engine files and pre-trained model weights from globally distributed Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) including:
- Hugging Face & jsDelivr: Distributes client-side AI weights and open-source JavaScript libraries.
- Google Fonts & Leaflet CDN: Delivers typography and OpenStreetMap visual tiles for the IP lookup tool.
These third parties serve static binary files directly to your browser cache. They do not receive any user documents, uploads, or tool inputs.
6. How to Control, Block, or Delete Cookies
You have complete control over cookies and storage on your device. You can adjust your consent directly on this website, or configure your web browser to block or purge all stored data:
